On Saturday 8th December 2012, The Surrey Sound of Music gave it’s first Christmas Concert.

Everybody performed a festive solo in St Andrew’s United Reformed Church, Northey Avenue, Cheam.

We started the day with a rehearsal where every student had the opportunity to practise their solos with the piano. Everybody also participated in group pieces which were ‘The Twelve Songs of Christmas’, a medley of popular christmas songs, and a ‘West Side Story’ medley. This meant that every student involved collaborated to fuse vocal and flute performance.

Local businesses and companies kindly donated gifts and prizes for our raffle, including a christmas cake, ukelele and christmas musical crackers!
