Susana

Singing Tutor

Rachel Hedger Flute teacher

Susana comes from a musical family and began her studies playing the violin aged five. She also loved singing from an early age and has travelled all around the world with lots of different choirs! Having done a BMus (hons) degree at Trinity College of Music, Susana began a varied carrier as a performer and teacher.

During her music studies Susana benefitted greatly from Alexander Technique lessons; this inspired her, upon graduating, to train to be a teacher of the Alexander Technique. In 2009 she graduated from the Alexander Technique Studio and has since incorporated this to enhance her singing teaching.

Throughout her teaching career, Susana has continued to deepen her knowledge through attending courses with leading practitioners in the field, such as Dr Jenevora Williams, who specialises in  teaching young voices.

Susana has performed with numerous ensembles, including the Lisbon Chamber Choir, the Gulbenkian Choir, the Blossom Street Singers, the Epsom Chamber Choir, the Ripieno Choir and regularly performs at St Mary’s Church, Ewell, both in the choir and as a soloist.
